| Designed: | 2005 | | Designer | Michael Koenig | | I grew up in a rural region near Aachen. My mother was Dutch, my father German. My grandparents were artisans. I came into contact with a wide range of materials at a very early age, and took great pleasure in designing things.
After leaving school I trained as a cabinetmaker then studied design in Aachen, graduating with honours. One year later, I lectured in product development at university. At this time I began working on my own projects with German brands such as Details and Freiraum. Habitat and Ligne Roset were my first significant international clients.
Following my exhibition at the Salone Satellite in 2001, I founded my own agency in Hamburg. | | Company | Ligne Roset |
