LUMEO BED | | Product Name: | Lumeo Bed | A modular collection of storage (H 92 1/2'' version can be made wall-to-wall with the addition of end filler panels) inspired by the design of the Lumeo headboard (square chequerboard-effect lacquered or veneered panels visually separated by anodised aluminum inserts). Comprising single bays W 21 1/4'' or double bays W 44'' with hinged doors, it is available in a choice of 4 finishes: natural, dark brown or ebony-stained oak veneer or pure white lacquer (with gloss lacquered door fronts). Also available: chests of drawers, bedside tables, benches and dressing table; finishes as per wardrobe.
The bed is available in each of the 4 finishes, in a choice of 3 dimensions: 63'' x 79'' QUEEN SIZE, 60'' x 80'' AMERICAN QUEEN SIZE or 71'' x 79'' KING SIZE. As an option the headboard may be fitted with one or two pivoting bedside lamps. A backliy version of the headboard is also available, backlit by 3 fluorescent tubes positioned across its circumference and controlled by a switch top right. |
| Designer | Peter Maly | | Peter Maly began his career studying interior architecture at the Ecole Supérieure Spécialisée, Detmold, graduating in 1960. However, his debut as a designer did not come about until ten years later. The period between was dedicated to journalism and interior design for a German interiors magazine. He opened his own design & interior architecture practice in 1970, and since then has worked with companies such as Anta, Behr, Cor, Interlübke, JAB Anstoetz, Ligne Roset, Mauser, Thonet and Tonon.
His experience is vast, ranging from product and textile design to ‘exhibition design’ for stands at trade shows, including Ligne Roset. He has designed Ligne Roset stores in Moscow, New York, Hamburg and Berlin, as well as an impressive array of Ligne Roset products from tableware to beds!
